About Us (updated)

We are Aischa and Raeha. Best friends. Nothing like each-other. Nevertheless inseparable.

We come from the same city and till a few days back, same school. But now I, Aischa, would be going to Mahindra United World College of India (MUWCI).

Yes, we are Indians by nationality and residence. We come from a small city, and don’t love it. But we know life is going to be good very soon. The process has started. And this blog is to voice out some thoughts, ideas, memories and also to celebrate- as we make life beautiful for ourselves, and possible for the people we care about.

Life is great, yeah! Despite its trials and lows :)

Dated July 20th, 2008

Tonight it seems I am motivated to heights to blow all the life into the blog. Not about anything else. But about us..

I remember the month of February, 2008. It was surreal. Sometimes I wonder what had happened out of the blue to Raeha and me. We were on a new landing.

She was writing poetry, inspired by me (A now ex-poetess, apparently). About herself, about her brother, about me, about my brother…its hilarious and wistful to think about those things!

She had coached me, in her own way, before my UWC interview scheduled on the April 5th. I think it had worked very nicely in the end. She had said I would get selected after I spilled all the beans about the D-Day. Including tricky questions, cool answers, handsome seniors, pathetic IQ test, highs and lows..everything. Or scratch that..she had been saying it throughout the year. It was what her instincts told her. There had been an arguable unshakable confidence in those forecasts.

Why ofcourse, she thinks I am the only one who believes in her life’s ambition of being a clinical psychologist. And the fact that psychology is about to boom as a field, in India. It will. I don’t understand why people don’t understand this that as a developing country advances, it starts to overcome the physical health hazards to the population. Development comes at a cost of distress, not physical but mental. In countless manifestations, too. Result: Mental Health demands the FOCUS abandoned by mass physical ailments.

Whoo! That was quite a digression.

And yes, Raeha’s built is good enough to one and a half on my own average frame. Yet never have I ridden with her on her Honda Activa. When it comes to us: my old Kinetic Honda is the one! With me in the front, ofcourse.

The last time she visited me at home, she was forbidden to return alone (around 9 pm). Imagine her chagrin, when I gave her a ride back. Me: A slender chap, three quarters of her mass..and three inches falling short of her! Because she was considered, shall I say, too frail and vulnerable…to return on her own. LoL
