Never stop your achievements from mounting. Without achievements you begin to rot inside. Moreover, you lose your admirers. Not that they actually matter because they are not your friends who would stand by you through thick and thin. But you know that most of us do care, if even a little, of the public opinion. Its also true that when you attain something, all those who are mesmerized, won’t necessarily be your fans. There will be a plenty of the ones who would rejoice at your next temporary stumble. It is the way of life. If you are a good person, you are inevitably surrounded by many opposing elements. Always keep moving on because stagnation is never benevolent. Yes, you can be a rebel. But a rebel too needs to silence all bickering tongues with extraordinary performances. As rightly said by Oprah Winfrey:
Excellence is the best deterrent to racism and sexism.
That is the way we all rebels must function.We must make our statements. Everyday of our life should be spent fighting for a cause that is close to the heart. It could be an autocratic, unjust system. It could be the persistance for a seemingly impossible goal. In my case, there are both.
Rebel! Rebel because you know you are right. Rebel because it gives you contentment. Rebel because not doing so makes your blood boil. Rebel because you are different and your cause is important. Rebel because it keeps you alive in this world of corpses.
